Range Finder is a documentary film offering a glimpse into the lives and inner workings of professional snowboarders Mark Carter and Bryan Iguchi. Filmed in frozen backcountry of Wyoming’s most remote mountain ranges, the solitude of a lonely winter provides the perfect backdrop for an introspective examination of two of the most influential minds and careers in snowboarding’s history. Their approach is one defined by self reliance, escapism, and social distance...not by mandate, but by design.
Range Finder is produced by Black Koles, presented by Ranch Rider Spirits with support from YETI, Arbor Snowboards, The North Face, Goal Zero, Four Wheel Pop Up Campers, Black Rifle Coffee Company, Yakima, Dragon Optics, Volcom & Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.

“For me, this project is a platform to discuss the importance of disconnecting with the intent of finding a deeper connection…with nature, with others, and with yourself.
The importance of providing for oneself and one's family and friends, of harvesting and sharing healthy food, of bestowing your knowledge on the next generation.
The importance of trusting your inner circle with your life and meanwhile the importance of self reliance”
— Mark Carter
"Range Finder is a "by all and any means available approach to snowboarding."
“I want to share these experiences, inspire people to spend time with their loved ones and kids.
Lots of heavy times and inspiration lately...enough time to reflect on what’s wrong with the world. It's nice to reflect on what is right.
I've recently experienced a lot of organic growth as a rider, father and a family man. It all flows organically from the heart. These are not extreme pursuits. These are peace seeking pursuits."
— Bryan Iguchi
